Colour matching
Once I had tested printed my spreads on the paper I brought for the publication, I realised that beige colour printed very yellow on the cream paper. I decided I liked the way the cream paper looked with the overall publication so I created a few more beige swatches and tested them on the cream paper. I decided to go with the cooler beige as it contrasts well with the cream paper throughout the publication.
CReam VS WHITE PAPER
When I was designing the publication I had a fair idea in mind that I didn’t want to produce on the standard white colour of paper. I found a 140gsm cream sketching paper and tested it out on my publication layouts.
At first I wasn’t sure about the paper as it changed a lot of the whites but with some feedback from other classmates I realised it worked well with the colours schemes and my black and white photographs. It also added another colour into my publication without using ink.
